Rangerband Mail List Guidelines
Please read the following before joining this list:

- To send a message to the list, address your e-mail to rangerband@vrhsband.org.
Everyone on the list will receive it.
- If you are requesting a reply, please include a reminder to reply to you
directly and not to use the "reply-all" option.
- Using "Reply-all" does just that. Please limit your replies to specific
individuals unless it qualifies as a "do" in the list below. To
reply to a message, use the "Reply" button and make sure that
"rangerband@vrhsband.org" is not an addressee.
(Do's) This list is a communication tool for staff & parents to
communicate:
- information about contests, practices, fundraising, meetings,
directions, etc
- needs such as car pooling and requests for help (ie: rides, make flags, etc.)
- last minute events such as contest updates, bus return times, scores, etc
- reminders (money due, deadlines, scholarships...)
- general questions where the answer would likely be of interest to a vast
majority of members. Other questions should be addressed to the band
directors or the webmaster@vrhsband.org.
When in doubt, send email to the the webmaster.
(Don'ts) The list is not:
- a general open discussion tool
- a place to post program desires or requests for change
- a place to voice any political or religious concerns
- for any sales pitch unless it sponsored by the boosters or band staff for
the sole benefit of the students or the VRHS band program
- a tool to start rumors, discuss negative issues, discipline etc.
- a place to "forward" or circulate jokes or non- band related
information
- a place for inappropriate language including any profanity or
threats. Demeaning language, or insults to individuals will result in
immediate list removal.
Failure to comply with the above may result in the member being
"moderated" or permanently removed from the list.
