- The band WILL NOT be making the trip to the Navarro game this Friday, September 19th.  INSTEAD, they are planning a trip to Austin's Park 'n Pizza in Pflugerville Friday evening for fun and good times. (removed 9/20)

- Reminder: the Band will perform this Thursday, 9/25 at Hendrickson High School (click for directions) in Pflugerville at halftime. Game starts at 7:30pm. (removed 9/26)

- Help is needed for the car wash this Saturday, 9/27, at the Taco Bell at 183 and 1431.  Still need two adults for 11am-2pm and three adults for 2pm-5pm.  Supplies needed: buckets, towels, car soap, shamies, sponges and squeegees.  Car wash is from 11am to 5pm.  Contact Robyn Cooper if you are able to help.  See flyer for details. - Vista Ridge is hosting the 4A Region Band auditions on Saturday, December 6th. - The Vista Ridge Band Boosters are now accepting nominations for 2004-2005 Band Booster Officers.   Please email your nominations to Kaci Witt by Sunday, April 11th.  Elections will be held at the Band Booster meeting on Tuesday, April 13th at 6 pm in the band hall.  Descriptions for officer positions are contained in the Band Booster By Laws.  Please feel free to contact Kaci if you have any questions regarding officer positions. - Reminders for the summer:
   > Band camp starts this week on Tuesday, June 1st and runs through Friday, June 4h from 8:00am to 4:00pm each day at the High School. The treasurer will be on site at 4:00pm on Tuesday and Friday to receive payments. 
   > The VRHS Band Yard and Bake Sale will be at Callahan's General Store in Cedar Park on Saturday, June 19th beginning at 7:00am. Please plan to donate "garage sale" items to this effort; all proceeds go to the VRHS Band Boosters. Contact Robyn Cooper if you can help in any way.
   > Ranger Band Courtyard Party and registration night on Friday, July 30th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the High School.

- Congratulations to Sean Havrilla, Lucy Hires, Megan Pulver, and Ryan Cooper, all of whom received Division 1 medals at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest at UT on Saturday, May 29th.  Sean, Lucy, and Megan received Division 1 honors for their ensemble performance while Ryan received his for his bass trombone solo.  Sean also earned a Division 2 rating for his solo! - Thanks to all who participated in the 1st annual Vista Ridge Band Golf Tournament on Monday, April 26th at River Place Country Club.  This successful endeavor to establish the annual event would not have been accomplished without the efforts of Sergio Gemoets and Hilary Peurano.     > There is a sub-committee on Tuesday in the VRHS Band Hall.
    > This week's football game is at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Friday at 7:30 PM.  This is our first away game of the year, please be prepared to help in any way that you can!
    >  The car wash fund raiser is Saturday, 9/4 from 9:00AM to 2:00PM at the Walmart on 620.  Sign-up sheet is in the band hall, there will be 2 shifts with 15 students on each. The proceeds will be directed to individual student accounts for those who participate. (removed 9/5/04)

- Congratulations, Ranger Band on your fantastic half time performance on Friday, 8/27; the first of the 2004-2005 marching season! The excitement on the field and in the stands was obvious and genuine and will only continue to build as this year's show, Labyrinth, takes shape. - Reminders for the week of 10/4 thru 10/10:
    >  Rehearsal schedules for this week will be similar to last week.

    >  The band will be traveling to North Richland Hills Saturday, October 9th, for the Birdville ISD Marching Invitational. Students are being asked to arrive at the school by 5:15AM; buses will depart at 6:30AM. Expected return to Vista Ridge is 1:30AM.  All are encouraged to attend and cheer on the band (please refer to parent information)! Check the schedule for performance times.
    >  Looking ahead: 
        - There is a UIL competition next Tuesday, 10/12, at Lake Travis High School. Details TBA.

- Congratulations to the Ranger Band on their 1st Division score at the Central Texas Marching Championships in Killeen! The performance was rewarded with a third place finish and a best percussion award in the 4A category. The band placed fifth overall after an excellent evening performance and left many thinking... - Fundraising notes:
    >  The golf tournament is Thursday, May 5th! Shotgun start at 2:00 PM.

    >  Spring Football Scrimmage and Carnival Friday May 20th! There will be a pep rally at 4:10 PM, followed by the football game at 4:30 PM, after which, the carnival begins at 6:30 PM and lasts until ~8:30 PM. There will be a live band playing from 7:30 PM to ~10:00. The band boosters will be running ~10 carnival booths, from which, all proceeds will go to the band booster organization. - A huge THANK YOU to the dedicated students who helped out with the car wash at Fazoli's on Saturday afternoon, particularly after the late game Friday.
